Middle Aged Women Facing Lower than Normal Ovarian Reserve

Hormonal balance is necessary to get pregnant, carry to term and have a healthy baby. Hormonal imbalance does not happen overnight but slowly over time as explained by IVF expert Dr Rama Sofat.
With a fast-paced world full of high demand, our body gets overstressed and our dietary habits are put at the bottom in the priority list. Most hormonal imbalances are a reflection of lifestyle choices over a long period of time, perhaps months, years and decades.

Anti Mullerian Hormone ( AMH ) is one of the important hormones for the women. Fertility problems are often directly linked to its imbalance. In order to bring our bodies back to a fertile state, we must change how we view our lives. We must take time to nurture ourselves.
The AMH levels are also important for any woman undergoing IVF procedure to know her responsiveness to the treatment. For a good correlation and comprehensive evaluation, it is usually done along with other hormone tests to count the number of follicles as a reflection of the woman's egg reserve

What are Symptoms of Low AMH?

Low AMH does not have explicit symptoms but irregular periods or stopping of periods is something that many women with Low AMH cop. Blood test is the most effective way to assess AMH level.

Treatments

IVF is a potent option for women with poor ovarian reserves as it (IVF) can make optimal usage of few eggs that are left in ovary. But with very little eggs, the result might not be on positive side.

Women who are suffering from infertility due to low AMH can opt for IVF with Donor eggs to conceive because donor eggs has good success rate and is advisable for women with very few or no eggs in ovaries.
